Tin Roof to Bring Live Music, Tasty Food and Southern Flair to The District Detroit
A highly-successful restaurant chain born near Nashville’s famed Music Row will bring live entertainment and delicious Southern-inspired food to The District Detroit.
Tin Roof, set to open at 47 East Adams, will bring dozens of employees and fun to the same high-profile location where Detroit Red Wings legend Chris Chelios operated Cheli’s Chili Bar until 2018. Located across from Grand Circus Park, the eatery and music venue will create opportunities for local, regional and national artists from all genres to showcase their talents.
The location will boast a rooftop deck and two floors, along with proximity to premier sports and entertainment venues like Little Caesars Arena.
“Detroit is such a great city with a great musical heritage and it has been on our radar for a long time,” said Bob Franklin, CEO of Tin Roof. “We know this is the right time and we could not be happier with the location near Comerica Park, Ford Field and the historic Fox Theatre in The District Detroit.”
Menu highlights include Dixie Biscuits—sliders packed with smoked brisket, bacon, peach jam and cheddar cheese; the Voodoo Shrimp Grinder, a Creole-style sandwich filled with shrimp and andouille sausage and Candy Pig Mac & Cheese, which includes brown sugar bacon, jalapeno queso, aged cheddar and special toppings.
The Original Tin Roof opened in 2002 in Nashville and gave musicians a place to perform, eat, drink and socialize. The chain has since become a place known for hosting famous and unknown musicians alike and has expanded to other major cities, including Charlotte, Birmingham, Cincinnati and Indianapolis.
In addition to Tin Roof, The District Detroit will soon be home to other restaurants and retail outlets, including Frita Batidos, Sahara Restaurant & Grill and The M Den.
The District Detroit retail properties are represented by Scott Young and Ashley Ketko of CBRE. For more information on becoming a tenant, please call 248-353-5400.
